ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS AIR DATE
The BBC has confirmed the UK air date for the first episode of Series 7 will be 1 September, this will probably the same day in America. The next 4 episodes will follow weekly and the Sixth episode of the series, the christmas special, will air on CHristmas Day and feature new companion Clara.
Also, EPISODE 1 - 3 SYNOPSES BELOW.
7.01: Asylum of the Daleks
“Kidnapped by his oldest foe, the Doctor is forced on an impossible mission – to a place even the Daleks are too terrified to enter… the Asylum. A planetary prison confining the most terrifying and insane of their kind, the Doctor and the Ponds must find an escape route. But with Amy and Rory’s relationship in meltdown, and an army of mad Daleks closing in, it is up to the Doctor to save their lives, as well as the Ponds’ marriage.”
7.02: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
“An unmanned spaceship hurtles towards certain destruction – unless the Doctor can save it, and its impossible cargo… of dinosaurs! By his side a ragtag gang of adventurers; a big game hunter, an Egyptian Queen and a surprised member of the Pond family. But little does the Doctor know there is someone else onboard who will stop at nothing to keep hold of his precious, prehistoric cargo.”
7.03: A Town Called Mercy
"The Doctor gets a Stetson (and a gun!), and finds himself the reluctant Sheriff of a Western town under siege by a relentless cyborg, who goes by the name of the Gunslinger. But who is he and what does he want? The answer seems to lie with the mysterious, Kahler-Jex, an alien doctor (yes another one!) whose initial appearance is hiding a dark secret."

Info about the new companion. Not sure of its reliability.

BFI Screening. Don't worry, no spoilers.
The BFI screening of Asylum of the Daleks took place today, followed by a Q&A with the cast and creators.
Shortly after the screening, BlogtorWho tweeted "BREAKING: the Doctor Who title sequence will change each week!"
The Blogtor has been an unreliable spoiler source in the past, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt, but this is an interesting development.
Also, it has been confirmed that Doctor Who will return in early September, not August as previously thought. However, a specific date has not been released.

Series 7 of Doctor Who will most likely begin airing on either Saturday 25th August or Saturday 1st September.

Doctor Who Online wrote:The possible airdates come after the announcement that Episode One of Series 7 will be getting its premiere at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International TV Festival in August.
The festival, which takes place between 23rd-25th August 2012, will be screening the new Dalek episode (rumoured to be titled 'Asylum of the Daleks'), as well as hosting a Sherlock Masterclass led by Showrunner, Steven Moffat, Co-creator, Mark Gatiss, and Producer / Wife of The Moff, Sue Vertue.
DWO have therefore deduced (see what we did there) that Series 7 will either get its BBC One premiere on Saturday 25th August, or Saturday 1st September.

Filming from Episode 1 of Series 7:
Also seen on set was a prop of Divorce Papers (marked Dec 2011) and apparently filming of a scene in which Rory takes and envelope containing said papers on a bus.
However, all is not lost! This video shows the two on good terms, waving off the TARDIS and Rory doing some kind of happy dance. Not sure if it occurs before or after the other scene, but we'll know by the end of the year.
A set of stills from these scenes show Amy wearing a big-ass ring on the index finger of her right hand.
Some scene descriptions from the same episode:DoctorWhoSpoilers wrote:
Location: TARDIS
Amy has a book of some sort and ask where he got it from. The TARDIS console at some point explodes and The Doctor is franticly looking for the landing lights while the TARDIS is spinning out of control. Amy then dashes for the TARDIS door. The doctor at some point is dancing/prancing around
Location:London Bus
Rory gets onto the London Bus (seen from location images) and is surrounded by bright lights / beams of lights.
Location: “White Room”.
There is a close up shot of Rory lying on white floor.
Location: Junction Room
Close up of The Doctor and Rory at Junction Room monitor.
At some point during the episode:
A scene set in a Chinese Workshop which features a Chinese foreman character and a scene set in Amy and Rory’s house which features wine and the TARDIS fading away.

NEW COMPANION: THE PRESS RELEASE
Jenna-Louise Coleman has beaten hundreds of hopefuls to become the new companion to Doctor Who, it was announced today by Steven Moffat.
Twenty-five year old Jenna from Blackpool, England will star alongside the 11th Time Lord, Matt Smith, to mark the biggest year in the show’s history.
Best known for her roles in Emmerdale (Jasmine Thomas) and Waterloo Road (Lindsay James), Jenna will replace Karen Gillan when she and Arthur Darvill bow out of the show in a heartbreaking departure after one final series of rollercoaster voyages later this year.
Jenna says: “I’m beyond excited, I can’t wait to get cracking; working alongside Matt I know is going to be enormous fun and a huge adventure.”
The Doctor will meet his new friend in a dramatic turn of events as the show builds towards its enormous, climactic 50th anniversary year — full of thrills, adventures and big surprises. Season seven is currently filming and comprises 14 big, blockbuster-movie episodes — each a brand new epic adventure featuring new monsters and some familiar foes as you’ve never seen them before.
Lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, says: “It always seems impossible when you start casting these parts, but when we saw Matt and Jenna together we knew we had our girl. She’s funny and clever and exactly mad enough to step on board the TARDIS.
“It’s not often the Doctor meets someone who can talk even faster than he does, but it’s about to happen. Jenna is going to lead him his merriest dance yet. And that’s all you’re getting for now. Who she’s playing, how the Doctor meets her, and even where he finds her, are all part of one of the biggest mysteries the Time Lord ever encounters. Even by the Doctor’s standards, this isn’t your usual boy meets girl.”
BIG NEWS: NEW COMPANION ANNOUNCED
The new Doctor Who companion was today announced as Jenna-Louise Coleman, who has starred in Emmerdale and Waterloo Road. Her first episode will be this year's Christmas Special after the departure of Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill.
I, for one, am hoping for a companion who isn't a present-day human.
Below is an interview by Lizo Mzimba of J-Lou C.
So, what does everyone think of the new girl? Any hopes or expectations for the new series?
*EDIT*
from The Telegraph Website
Moffat remained tight-lipped about the new series. “Jenna is going to lead him his merriest dance yet, and that’s all you’re getting for now," he said.
"Who she’s playing, how the Doctor meets her, and even where he finds her, are all part of one of the biggest mysteries the Time Lord ever encounters. Even by the Doctor’s standards, this isn’t your usual boy meets girl.” He said there would be six episodes this year with eight more in 2013.

The new Doctor Who MMORPG (called 'Worlds In Time) is up for a free preview release (I think this is basically open beta testing). Click the link to sign up.
I've been on it a little tonight and in my opinion it's a bit repetitive. It's not really like WoW or anything, just a puzzle game where you can team up to complete it (Puzzle Pirates-esque (?)). There are, though, forum and encyclopaedia sections (currently inactive) which could add to the MMORPG feel and the game could easily be developed further before it is fully released.
