Series 6 part 2 episode synopses.
Let's Kill Hitler:
The God Complex:
Let's Kill Hitler:
- Spoiler:
- In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities - and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.
- Spoiler:
- The Doctor receives a distress call from the scariest place in the Universe: a child's bedroom, as the time-travelling drama continues.
Every night George lies awake, terrorised by every fear you can possibly imagine – fears that live in his bedroom cupboard. His parents are getting desperate – George needs a doctor.
Fortunately for George, his desperate pleas for help break through the barriers of all time and space and the Doctor makes a house call. But allaying his fears won't be easy; because George's monsters are real.
- Spoiler:
- Amy is trapped in a quarantine facility for victims of an alien plague – a plague that will kill the Doctor in a day – as the time-travelling drama continues.
The Doctor can use the TARDIS to smash through time and break in, but then Rory is on his own. He must find Amy and bring her back to the TARDIS before the alien doctors can administer their medicine.
Rory is about to encounter a very different side to his wife. Can he rescue Amy before she is killed by kindness?
The God Complex:
- Spoiler:
- Toby Whithouse (The Vampires of Venice & Being Human) returns for Episode 11 with David Walliams as an alien called Gibbis, a mole-looking creature who comes from a planet where the whole population are designed to be afraid. The story is set in a nightmarish hotel populated by a Minotaur, a clown and the Weeping Angels.
- Spoiler:
- The penultimate story sees James Corden back as Craig Owens. Also returning to writing duties is the wonderful Gareth Roberts (The Lodger, The Unicorn and the Wasp and many excellent stories from The Sarah Jane Adventures). Matt smith described the episode, which also includes the Cybermen, as being similar to Three Men and a Baby. Filming pics also show the return of some familiar head~gear.
- Spoiler:
- SteeMo is back to pen the finale that seems to feature some familiar faces in unfamiliar roles. It stars Mark Gatiss, Simon Callow (Charles Dickens in The Unquiet Dead), Simon Fisher-Becker (Dorium Maldovar) and Ian McNeice (Winston Churchill) and includes the lines, "I don't want to marry you," and "I don't want to murder you."

Re: Doctor Who Stuff
SFX have launched the Sci-Fi Awards for 2012, and unsurprisingly Doctor Who and Torchwood are suggestions for a number of the categories.
(full article at http://www.doctorwhonews.net/ )
Both shows are suggested in the Best TV Show; others include Being Human, Fringe, Game of Thrones, Misfits, Primeval, and The Walking Dead. Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are suggested for the Best Sci-Fi Actor and Actress categories, with the latter also featuring A.lex Kingston (River Song), Suranne Jones (Idris) and Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper/Torchwood); other nominees include Aidan Turner and Russell Tovey for Being Human, Andrew Lincoln for The Walking Dead, and Antonia Thomas and Lauren Socha for Misfits. Myles and Jones also pop up in the Sexiest Female category, with John Barrowman represented in Sexiest Male.
Best Monster or Villain sees Madame Kovarian and The Silence suggested, against enemies such as The Red Skull from Captain America, Crowley (played by Doctor Who guest star Mark Sheppard) from Supernatural and Loki from Thor. Best Special Effect is represented by the opening sequence from A Good Man Goes To War; this competes against Asgard from Thor, Paul from Paul, and the train crash in Super 8.
Doctor Who is also suggested in the Best Collectable, Model, Toy or Boardgame category, with the Character Building TARDIS mini set competing with the Fifth Doctor and Tegan fancy dress outfits, plus items like Thor's Hammer and Captain America headphones.

In a Radio Times interview Matt Smith has dropped the strongest hint yet that he knows when he will be leaving Doctor Who.
Speaking in an interview in the new issue of Radio Times, he told Gareth McLean, “When I finish [Doctor Who], I’ll be…” before checking himself and continuing, “Well, I don’t know how old I’ll be, but by the end of next year I’ll be 29 so…”

The official website has now confirmed that the Series 6 finale is indeed called "The Wedding of River Song".
Here are some further details from the Radio Times, starting with Steven Moffat’s preview:
So...fingers crossed it will be good (and the Doctor won't die and River WON'T get married to the Doctor - hopefully.)

Here are some further details from the Radio Times, starting with Steven Moffat’s preview:
Source: Doctor Who TVAnd here it is at last – the episode with all the answers, as the Doctor journeys to Lake Silencio for his date with destiny. While I was writing this, my wife asked me, “What happens?” and when I frowned, and pondered my answer, she hurriedly added, “In one sentence. Quite a short one.” I thought a moment and said, “The Doctor goes to his certain death – and it doesn’t work out as well he expected.”
So welcome to what is, without doubt or serious competition, the wedding of the year! Early reports indicate that it could make On Her Majesty’s Secret Service look like a fairly successful honeymoon…
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I really don't like the title. I think I preferred just "The Wedding". Anywho, sounds like another disappointing finale episode. (Big Bang made very little sense, AGMGTW was...well, it was just "Blurgh")So...fingers crossed it will be good (and the Doctor won't die and River WON'T get married to the Doctor - hopefully.)
Doctor Who Official Site wrote:The big finale! This one remains shrouded in mystery but Karen Gillan has promised us that the series will contain 'possibly the biggest twist so far'... Is it possible that this is the adventure that delivers it? Steven Moffat penned last year's incredible finale but it's probable that this adventure will conclude the series with a bigger bang than ever!

Callow will be remembered by fans as playing Charles Dickens in the third episode of Christopher Eccleston’s tenure as The Doctor.
Although we think it’s more probable that he’ll be playing a different character this time around, there’s certainly the possibility that he might be returning as Dickens. Especially considering that from what we know the episode features some major historical changes, not least Winston Churchill as the Holy Roman Emperor riding his personal Mammoth in to London and Pterodactyls attacking children in Hyde Park.
Re: Doctor Who Stuff
Quite a few Doctor Who Teasers for ‘Let’s Kill Hitler’
- Spoiler:
- • “Let’s Kill Hitler” is a dense, surprising, unpredictable, bonkers maelstrom of random ideas with so many standout moments it’s hard to believe it’s not a two parter
• On the other hand, it may have worked better as a two parter, because one or two important plot elements seems to come to rather rapid conclusions. Indeed one could have been strung out into a season-long arc plot in itself
• It certainly isn’t quite the episode you’d expect following “A Good Man Goes To War”
• The excuse for trying to kill Hitler comes from a totally unexpected source
• Someone unexpected appears in the teaser who we may get to know quite well, it seems
• There’s a special effect that seems inspired by the X-Men movies, but we’d argue it actually looks more impressive. Not bad for a TV budget
• It’s very, very funny. Despite having a few massively dramatic moments, mostly it’s the comedy that’ll linger in the memory
• Some inspiration for the plot seems to have come from The Beano
• Someone gets to take a good look at themself
• The Doctor has another new hat. And coat. But not at the same time. (When asked why the Doctor has a new coat at the post-preview screening Q&A, Moffat replied, “Matt wanted one… it’s not much of an anecdote”)
• There are some surprise cameos from ...
• Someone shocks some soldiers with some very liberal attitudes
• The solution to one problem is pure RTD
• The structure is pure Moffat
• There are lots of women – and men – in underwear at one point
• The banana agenda is back
• One outstanding scene is a gloriously daft mix of Bill and Ted and Moffat’s own Sherlock

- The Return of Donna, Martha and Rose in Let's Kill Hitler?

Re: Doctor Who Stuff
Episode 12 has been confirmed to be called "Closing Time", it features the return of James Corden as Craig Owens and was written by Gareth Roberts.
(The confirmation comes via a BBC America press release that lists the episode air dates for the States:
"Let’s Kill Hitler,” written by Steven Moffat, premieres Saturday, August 27, 9:00pm ET/PT
“Night Terrors,” written by Mark Gatiss, premieres Saturday, September 3, 9:00pm ET/PT
“The Girl Who Waited,” written by Tom MacRae, premieres Saturday, September 10, 9:00pm ET/PT
“The God Complex,” written by Toby Whithouse, premieres Saturday, September 17, 9:00pm ET/PT
“Closing Time,” written by Gareth Roberts, premieres Saturday, September 24, 9:00pm ET/PT
Title TBD, written by Steven Moffat, premieres Saturday, October 1, 9:00pm ET/PT)
Could this mean that the Daily Star's other revelations for Series 6 Part 2 may be true aswell? (for example, Episode 13 being called The Wedding). We'll just have to wait and see...

REVIEW: Let's Kill Hitler [SPOILER~FREE] Blogtor Who
As you can tell from the title, in spoiler due to length.
As you can tell from the title, in spoiler due to length.
- Spoiler:
- It's very difficult to write a spoiler~free review of a story that is almost entirely constructed of surprises. Let's Kill Hitler goes from one mind~smacking reveal to another; it's an episode of moments. Big, big moments. Huge, even. The fact that the title alone includes the name Hitler speaks volumes. The Series 6, Part 2 opener is about as bold as Doctor Who has ever been.
So, I shan't be spoiling any of the delightful surprises in store for you (and there are many, all in varying degrees of WOWness). It does, however, leave little left to actually discuss. As seems to becoming the norm with SteeMo, the actual plot plays second fiddle to the endless array of MoffTrix.
Due to this, there's a slight feeling of deja vu as Moffat's previous big~hitting moments get churned out again; a tad repetitious. But it's so much fun that you may not care about such things. And there's a lot of fun here right from the get~go as Amy and Rory attract The Doctor's attention in a novel fashion as they look for an update on the whereabouts of their daughter.
Juxtaposing the Pond's familial strife (Melody's kidnap) is the titular villain himself (who receives nothing in the way of pleasantries from our heroes) and a surprisingly massive sci~fi element (or, rather, tiny). Though these merely act as backdrop to the revelations and further mysteries to come.
From a production stand~point, Let's Kill Hitler looks stunning and the direction really blasts along covering action, comedy, romance (urg!) and sci~fi with some style. There are even some real moments of horror that may disturb younger viewers (hell, it freaked me out a little!). Points off, though, for the shoddy use of BBC promotional pictures in one scene (rendering what should have been a wonderful moment rather cheap) and the slightly~less~than~effective jellyfish~type robots.
Those expecting answers and resolution after the events of A Good Man Goes To War will be left wanting as Moffo has given some answers but thrown up even more questions regarding characters and the events of Series 6. But, like any good opener, it's an attention~grabbing fun~fest, littered with some of SteeMo's funniest Who gags and a performance to savour from the goddess Kingston.
BLOGTOR RATING 8/10
(Oh, and SteeMo and Moffo mean Steven Moffat)

Doctor Who UK Airdate Confirmed and Episode Synopsis'
New Doctor Who Companion for Series 7?
(Life, Doctor Who & a Combom)
RT Steven Moffat Interview:
"The Silence, the unseen enemy who blew up his TARDIS last year, have laid deeper plans and set the deadliest trap of all – one that has been ticking away in the Doctor’s life for longer than anyone knows.”
Newlyweds Amy and Rory are caught up in a century-spanning scheme, and somewhere out there, in a storm-lashed prison, River Song is getting ready to tell the Doctor something that will change his life for ever.
"By Lake Silencio, on the Plain of Sighs, a story will begin and end. A good man is going to die [and] an impossible life will begin. “Our heroes will set out on the long road to the deadliest secret in the universe, and when it stares you in the face, you might just discover you’ve known about it all along.”
( DWSpoilers )The Daily Star aren’t exactly renowned for their accuracy when it comes to spoilers, so I’d take this with a large pinch of salt if I were you.
Now we’ve got that caveat in place, it’s worth mentioning that they’re reporting that the titles for Episode Twelve and Thirteen are Closing Time and The Wedding. The article also mentions that The Doctor will be married and there will be a farewell to Amy and Rory.
Given recent comments it’s looking increasingly likely that the Pond’s won’t be leaving permanently this series, but perhaps the comment refers to a scene that was shot in early March that sees Amy kissing The Doctor on the forehead and seeming to say goodbye.
As to who The Doctor marries, I’m betting the smart money is on River. And anyone expecting to see a Julie Rogers cameo in the finale might be disappointed.
Update: In response to this post, Steve Hughes, the director of Episode Twelve cautioned: “Don’t believe everything you read!”

Doctor Who UK Airdate Confirmed and Episode Synopsis'
- Spoiler:
- We have just received news from the BBC Press Office about the second part of Season 6. Confirmed air date is 27 August 2011, while our estimated air time is at 6.10pm. The wait is almost over
"The rules have changed, and the game is deadlier than ever. Out in the universe, where the earthly rules of time and space do not apply, Amy and Rory know only too well that their baby daughter needs them. [As we know,] for Melody Pond is destined to become River Song, mysterious archaeologist and convicted murderer – the woman who killed the best man she ever knew... [possible the Doctor, or her father Rory].
We know our hero will die, and these are his final days, but how will his friends save him?
"The search will result in a crash landing in Thirties Berlin and will bring them face to face with the greatest war criminal of all time. And Hitler. Old friendships will be tested to their limits as the Doctor suffers the ultimate betrayal and learns a harsh lesson in the cruelest warfare of all.
"A distress call from a terrified little boy will break through all barriers of time and space and lead the Doctor to visit the scariest place in the Universe. George's bedroom. George is terrorised by every fear you can possibly imagine. Fears that live in his bedroom cupboard. His parents are desperate – George needs a doctor. But allaying George's fears won't be easy. Because the monsters in George's cupboard are real.
"An unscheduled visit to a quarantine facility for victims of an alien plague – a plague that will kill the Doctor in a day – leaves Amy trapped. Alone, Rory must find Amy and bring her back to the TARDIS before the faceless doctors kill her with kindness. But Rory is about to encounter a very different side to his wife.
"In an impossible hotel, the Doctor, Amy and Rory find themselves checked-in but unable to check out. Walls move, corridors twist, rooms vanish and death lies in wait for every visitor. But the Doctor's time has yet to come. He has one last stop to make on his final journey. His old friend, Craig Owens, desperately needs his help – a new and unfamiliar presence is wreaking havoc in Colchester. And then come the Cybermen. But time catches up with us all and the Doctor can delay no more.
"By the shores of Lake Silencio, in Utah, all of time and space hang in the balance. And a NASA astronaut is waiting..."
Series 6 Part 2 promises to be great!
New Doctor Who Companion for Series 7?
- Spoiler:
- It has been announced that Series 7 shall contain a new companion on Doctor Who Magazine's Twitter. This has been confirmed by Steven Moffat himself. Who would have thought he'd let slip of this news, so early too. Due to this, and the fact there was nothing official in the way of a press release or post on the official site, we cannot be sure if this is real or a red herring. After all, rule 1: The Moff Lies! This was revealed during a question and answer session, it was also noted about a Davros/Omega/The Rani team up, however obviously this is a joke. It is yet unconfirmed who, if anyone, will be joining the TARDIS team in series 7, but why not throw some theories about....?
It has however said that Amy and Rory will be involved somehow in the series.

Transcript:
DOCTOR (answering machine message): Oh, blimey! Okay, probably leave a message at the tone or something. Sorry, I wasn’t really trying to do this, I was looking for the breaks!
AMY (over phone): Doctor? Doctor, can you hear me? Are you ever gonna hear this? You don’t even know you’ve got an answer phone. How can you be so clever and so completely stupid at the same time? Well if you can hear this, please just pick up the phone. Don’t get confused, I’m not invisible or trapped in a space ball or something, I’m just talking on the answer phone so just pick up the phone. You said you’d find my baby. You said you’d find Melody. Have you found her? Because you promised. I know she’s gonna be okay, I know she’ll grow up to be River, but… that’s not the point, is it? I don’t wanna miss all those years, you know? I can’t stand it. I can’t. Please, Doctor. Please. Okay. Phone me back when you know something. Please, Doctor, at least do that. As soon as you know. Okay? Alright, bye.
Then it's the Doctor's sad face...

Karen and Arthur: are they leaving??
OK. so this is a rather old article (a whole 3 months!) and since then, Karen has confirmed that she is in series 7 but could it be a one or two episode return?
I also think some of the comments are interesting:
Interesting...good idea as the interaction was good but, possibly a little young?? I don't know, i mean they're characters are, what, 18-odd year old, so maybe. And, they know about aliens and stuff so it is not too far from the ideas of the comment below.
I agree that a TOTALLY new companion would ruin the probably nostalgic/classic feel of a 50th anniversary episode.
(Oh, and my brother - who doesn't watch or like Who in any way, shape or form - reckons that the 50th anniversary might be the end...that the 'doctor dying' thing will carry on until then and they won't save him. I personally think this is just wishful thinking on his part.)

I also think some of the comments are interesting:
just want to say, SJA's ending because Lis Sladen's dead, so no possibility of more SJ sadly (RIP LIS LOVE UUUU) BUT what about Clyde and Rani? I definitely think that the story they would have had in SJA could be continued in Dr. Who, and as Wedding of SJ and Death of the Doctor have proven, they work well as sidekicks for the Doctor (I particularly liked Clyde's banter with Doctor 11 about regeneration... "How many times can you do it?" "507." "Oh..."). So people, time to start a petition: DANIEL ANTHONY & ANJLI MOHINDRA FOR DR. WHO!!!

I hope Amy and Rory stay on till 2012, but that'll mean they'll probably have to stay for 2013 too, because a 50th anniversary series finale will likely be huge, and having new companions saying "Who?" "What's this?" "What's that?" "Who are the Daleks?" etc. would ruin it. They would need some companions that know about the whole situation, not those who are knew to the world of Who. Unless they're like Rory, and know everything about the TARDIS the first time they step inside.

Series 6 info:
(doctorwhospoilers.com)
According to a very reliable poster, there’ll be a new sixty-second trailer for the Autumn episodes arriving soon.
They mention that the Pyramids seen in the recent promo image harbour a secret. Namely a large American flag painted on to the side.
Furthermore they tell us that there’s a steam train on a bridge heading in to the pyramid.
Could this tie in with the majestic phone call The Doctor received at the end of Series Five’s finale, The Big Bang telling him that an Egyptian Goddess was loose on the Orient Express… in space?

BBC Three are to repeat Doctor Who Series 6, Part 1 from Friday August 5. Kicking off with a double-bill of The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon at 7pm, the re-run will finish in time for the launch of Series 6, Part 2 on August 27.
Re: Doctor Who Stuff
the opening of the episode has been revealed:
Watch This (It's a YT video)
- Spoiler:
- “Let's Kill Hitler starts out with Amy and Rory careening through a wheat field in a beat up car. You can barely see much more than the tops of their heads until the car comes to a halt in a clearing, smack in front of the Doctor and the Tardis.
It’s a crop circle, the second "O" in a message that spells "Doctor." They’ve called him, via these unconventional means, to see if he’s had any luck tracking down their baby, Melody (aka River). He hasn’t, but since they’ve all met her as an adult, they should know he soon will.
Before we cut out, we meet Mels - an ex-con friend of Amy and Rory - who holds the Doctor up at gunpoint, presumably in an attempt to hijack the Tardis.”

» "What's the deal with you? Do you make everyone around you gay?"
» "How wonderful it is to meet someone who is mortal..."
» "Who is above PhiCorp? Who owns them?"
» "It's kids' stuff. Torchwood keeps treating this like it's a game."
» "Whoever wears heels to work is heroic. Why do women wear these things?"
» "My name's John Smith."
» "You're very special to them Jack, they tell me that. But I hear rumours of miracles yet to come."
» "What did you give them so long ago?"
» "You're the Doctor."

Episode 8: Let's Kill Hitler
- Spoiler:
Written by Steven Moffat
The gang's all back! The Doctor, Amy, River and Rory return in what promises to be an action-packed belter of an adventure. So far the following details have emerged:
'In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities - and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.
We also know it features Albert Welling as Hitler and is directed by Richard Senior, previously at the helm for Time and Space plus the Doctor Who pre-title sequence for this year's NTA awards.
Episode 9: Night Terrors
- Spoiler:
- Written by Mark Gatiss
Mark Gatiss has previously written spooky episodes including The Unquiet Dead and The Idiot's Lantern, but he promises that Night Terrors features some of the scariest moments he's ever dreamt up! The adventure has a modern day setting and features a little boy who has a fear of something... Can the Doctor help him?
- Spoiler:
- Written by Tom MacRae
Tom MacRae's previous credits include The Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel plus the critically acclaimed The Crash of the Elysium. This is his first television adventure for the Eleventh Doctor and it's directed by Nick Hurran who was recently at the helm for the updated version of the cult classic, The Prisoner.
- Spoiler:
- Written by Toby Whithouse
We know the adventure is set in a hotel and features an alien called Gibbis played by David Walliams. Again, the episode is directed by Nick Hurran and as writer Toby Whithouse was behind School Reunion and The Vampires of Venice, we know we've got something special to look forward to!
Episode 12
- Spoiler:

Craig Owens is back! The popular character from last year's The Lodger returns and judging from the trailer for eps 8-13 he's getting closer than ever to the Doctor! The adventure is written by Gareth Roberts whose credits include Attack of the Graske, The Unicorn and the Wasp and, of course, The Lodger.
Episode 13
- Spoiler:
- Written by Steven Moffat
The big finale!

- Spoiler:
- The Comic-Con experience starts on the plane to the States. The Doctor Who team may have been shoe-horned into seats that feel like school children's chairs, but who cares? I'm sat next to a doctor of psychology who looks perfectly lovely and whatever you'd expect a doctor of psychology to look like. Only on her laptop she's watching... The Mark of the Rani! Fantastic! The Sixth Doctor adventure that featured Kate O'Mara as an evil Time Lady.
'Comic-Con?' I ask.
'Oh, yeah!'
Arrive at Comic-Con for the first time and three things immediately strike you:
A. It's massive.
B. It's mad (in a good way).
C. It really is massive.
In fact, Comic-Con is more like a conurbation than a convention with literally tens of thousands of people making a pilgrimage to this spot in San Diego to enjoy the event. And then a fourth thing may strike you... That it's fantastic that Doctor Who - the British phenomena produced by our very own BBC Wales - is so globally adored; Comic-Con is teaming with Doctor Who fans from across the world, united by their enthusiasm for the Time Lord's adventures.
And some things are the same wherever you go, with one group of American fans discussing the revelation that River Song is the daughter of Amy and Rory. 'Yeah, I figured that way back,' one of them tells me. His friends playfully push his shoulder. 'Dude! You said she was the Doctor's mom!' and they fall about laughing. I tell them that back in Britain, a great many people 'knew all along'... but only after they'd seen A Good Man Goes to War!
And what do they think of Doctor Who? 'It rocks!' But why? A lot of the fans at Comic-Con have only started watching the show relatively recently and enjoy the humour and action, but time and time again, it's the characters that really resonate. Outside the UK, Doctor Who may not have been a cultural 'ever-present', but that doesn't matter. People want to know what happens to Amy, Rory, River and, of course, the Doctor, whether they've been watching the show for one year, five years or forty-five years.
Comic-Con is friendly but frantic. People dashing through the main buildings, eruptions of applause and shouts when a big name star is spotted and a general buzz of excitement and expectancy. Whispered information about the best way to get into popular panels is exchanged like it's a black market product... It's hard to convey, but you just know Dorium would be in his element here!
And one of the topics on the minds of many is the Sunday panel featuring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Toby Whithouse, Piers Wenger and Beth Willis. Some can't wait to see the stars, others look forward to Beth, Piers and Toby's take on the future of Doctor Who and everyone's excited by the promise of footage from the upcoming episodes (which, incidentally, you can watch right here on Sunday night!)
I caught up with Karen Gillan earlier and judging by what she told me, I doubt anyone will be disappointed when they see and hear what that future will be... 'We have a lot to look forward to between now and the end of the series!' she revealed. 'So much! So many explanations to come... We're going to learn a lot more about River Song... and we get to see possibly the biggest twist so far!'
Hopefully we'll learn more soon!

*MEGA SPOILER ALERT!!! THE STUFF IN THE SPOILER THING INCLUDES DIALOGUE AND DETAILS FROM SERIES 6 EPISODE 13!!*
- Spoiler:
- River Song appears in camouflage gear, and Amy and her cross check their diaries. River says she’s just climbed out of the Byzantium, "you were so young, didn’t have a clue who I was", she says to Amy.
She asks Amy where she is in the timeline, and she says the Doctor is dead and that she’s sad. Not just because of that, because she killed Madame Kovarian. River says it’s fine, it was in an aborted time-line, so never happened. But it still happened for Amy, she remembers it.
Amy longs to see her Doctor again, but she can’t, he’s dead. River then says "Oh mother, he isn’t dead, don’t you want to know what he whispered in my ear?". Amy assumes it was his name. River says no it wasn’t his name. Amy says that the Doctor said he was about to whisper his name to River, but he clearly didn’t. He whispered something to stop the astronaut killing him.
River reminds Amy about rule number one. The Doctor lies. So do I, she says. River says her life is one giant spoiler. She’s had to keep it from Amy that she’s her daughter, and keep secret about the astronaut: she knew all along it was going to shoot the Doctor. So Amy pushes her to say what the Doctor whispered in her ear before he went off to America to get shot. River grins and says "that man, always thinking so far ahead".
The same poster goes on to tell us that River did do enough to earn that pardon in Flesh and Stone, and sees Amy after she is released from Stormcage. He also mentions that River is married to The Doctor. But as River herself says: “The Doctor lies. So do I.”

[quote DWS] Although quite how this all fits in to an episode that features pterodactyls terrorising a young Rory in Hyde Park, a Roman chariot on a modern day high street, futuristic soldiers, Churchill and the Silence remains to be seen.
But, it looks like we’ll have to wait until Series Seven to discover what The Doctor really whispered to River at at some point this Series and how they use that to bring The Doctor back or stop him being killed by the Astronaut. [/quote]
